Delivery Within Australia
- All orders with a total transaction amount over $150.00, standard shipping is free.
- All orders with a total transaction amount $149.99 and under – before freight is added, standard shipping is a flat rate of $9.95
Childish Things aim to send orders within 2 working days with delivery being 2-10 working days (within Australia) and 7-21 working days (outside of Australia) from the date of any confirmed order. However, as delivery is not controlled by Childish Things, we cannot guarantee any firm delivery dates.
On delivery of the order, you may be required to sign for delivery, unless you grant us ‘authority to leave’, by noting it in the comments section of your order. You will need to keep receipt of the delivered order in case of future discussions with us about it.
If you choose to grant ‘authority to leave’ when placing your order, you understand and agree that this authority to leave gives us and/or our selected couriers permission to leave the order in question unattended by the front door – or, where applicable, at the reception or concierge’s desk – of the delivery address without obtaining a signature confirming delivery at the delivery location. In such circumstances, you understand and agree that by granting us authority to leave, we and our couriers are released of all responsibility and liability for the orders delivered and left unattended and that this responsibility and liability transfer to you.
If you are not available to take delivery or collection, our couriers may leave a card giving you instructions on either re-delivery or collection from the carrier or collection point.
If delivery or collection is delayed through your unreasonable refusal to accept delivery or if you do not (within one week of our first attempt to deliver the order to you) accept delivery or collect the order from the carrier, we may (without affecting any other right or remedy available to us) do either or both of the following:
- Charge you for our reasonable re-postage fee and/or other costs reasonably incurred by us
- No longer make the product available for delivery or collection and notify you that we are immediately cancelling the applicable contract, in which case we will refund to you any money already paid to us under the applicable contract, less our reasonable administration charges (ie. postage charges) through your original chosen method of payment
Please remember to take care when opening the product so as not to damage it, particularly when using any sharp instruments.
International delivery costs do not include any taxes or duties which may be applied by customs at the destination country and any duties or taxes incurred are the responsibility of the delivery recipient.
Please note that in accordance with Australian export regulations we are required to declare the exact value of all items and identify the order as dutiable “merchandise”. We are also prohibited by law from identifying an order as a “gift” for export purposes, even if a customer has placed the order with the intention of delivery to a gift recipient.

Wholesale orders will incur a freight and handling charge of 10% of the total value of the order, to be paid prior to shipment.
International wholesale orders will be charged an additional fee based on actual courier costs and will be quoted on these prior to shipping unless you use your own service company. Any importing duties, clearance, etc are the responsibility of the customer.
