All goods and services sold by us to you are sold on the terms of trade set out below. We may at any time vary these terms of trade. These terms of trade may not otherwise be varied unless agreed by us in writing. In these terms of trade, references to “we”, “our” or “us” are references to Childish Things and references to “you” and “your” are references to the customer.
While we endeavour to supply accurate information on this site, errors and omissions may occur. Childish Things does not accept any liability, direct or indirect, for any loss or damage which may directly or indirectly result from any advice, opinion, information, representation or omission whether negligent or otherwise, contained on this site. You are solely responsible for the actions you take in reliance on the content on, or accessed, through this site.
You will be deemed to have read and accepted these terms of trade when you confirm an order for goods or services by clicking on the “SUBMIT” button or “I ACCEPT” button. Once your order has been accepted by us this will constitute a binding contract for the supply of the goods or services on these terms of trade. Childish Things hold the right to withdraw from this contract if a technical error occurs beyond our control.
Refusing or cancelling orders
If for any reason the goods or services ordered are no longer available we reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order.
While we endeavour to ensure that the price and description of goods or services is accurate, if there is an error in the process of listing a product or service on our website or a technical error in the processing of your order we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the order.
Our right to cancel orders applies to orders that have been accepted.
Price and Payment
For all goods or services ordered by you, you must pay the price for the goods or services specified on our website at the time your order is accepted by us. All prices are in Australian dollars. You will pay all applicable taxes, import duties, levies or tariffs which may be payable (if any). All payments are to be made by credit card, Paypal, Afterpay, Zipmoney (ZipPay) or bank deposit.
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
Price Match Guarantee
Shop with confidence. We are willing to match any genuine competitor pricing of a stocked item, provided we have the available stock.
The item must be identical to what we have in stock, in stock with our competitor for immediate delivery and does not include shipping and handling, foreign currency conversion costs or drop-shipping fees.
What are the exclusions?
- Conditional offers, such as package deals, cash back, bonus, bulk purchase or limited quantity
- Trade, special event, club or membership offers, or prices not available to the general public
- Special order products, limited edition or customised items
- Clearance, seconds or refurbished lines, or ex demonstration or display offers
- Offers by any resellers, classifieds, auction sites, manufacturers, distributors or importers
- Offers that require delivery from an overseas based distributor direct to the customer
- Advertising errors (either ours or competitors)
How to claim
- In the comments section of your order, simply tell us the details of the lower price and place order as usual. We will confirm the eligibility of the price and refund the difference or contact you for confirmation/rejection of the claim. OR
- You can contact us prior to purchasing to confirm the price match will be accepted.
Childish Things reserves the right to limit quantities available through the price match guarantee at our discretion.
Freight and Handling
You will pay freight and handling charges on any goods you order from us as follows:
All goods delivered within Australia (except gift vouchers) incur a flat rate freight and handling charge of $9.95*
*Flat rate delivery is for retail customer purchases within Australia only. International orders will be charged out at the quoted rate by Australia Post which is embedded into our website or our current courier service.
Gift vouchers delivered within Australia do not incur a freight and handling charge if sent via electronic mail. We will send Gift Vouchers to any address requested by the buyer (electronic or postal). Childish Things will not liable for vouchers lost or delayed by delivery. If You loose your voucher and it has not been used, Childish Things will replace your voucher at our discretion.
If you find your Gift Voucher hasn’t been received please check your Spam folder and/or if sending to a workplace or government email address the company or service provider may be blocking our email.
Childish Things is an environmentally friendly company and where possible use recycled materials for packaging and shipping of orders.
Order and Delivery
We will endeavour to deliver goods ordered from us within 10 days Australia wide, 21 days worldwide from the date we receive and accept your order. This will be subject to stock availability. If we anticipate that you will not receive the goods within that time we will advise the reason for the delay and the likely date of the delivery. You will then be asked to confirm the order or cancel the order. Where products are listed as out of stock but available for pre order or back order we anticipate stock availability and will process the entire order upon arrival of the pre ordered/back ordered product. The timing for delivery of said products will be as specified on our website or as agreed by us and you. We will not be liable for any delays in delivery of goods or services.

Property and risk in goods ordered by you from us will pass to you upon delivery of the goods to your specified delivery address for the relevant order.
Childish Things does not accept returns without prior notification. All returns are to be accompanied by a CRN which will be issued upon approval of the return.
Should you change your mind we may provide an exchange or credit voucher subject to the following conditions;
- Returned goods be accompanied with receipt or order/invoice number
- The goods are returned within 30 days of delivery
- The goods were not on sale at the time of purchase
- The goods need to be in the original condition as purchased
- Freight costs are to be borne by you for return and exchange goods
- We reserve the right to refuse refunds. Any refunds we may give on change of mind/ incorrectly ordered product will be subject to a 10% restocking fee.
The above does not apply to sale goods, which are not returnable. Exchanges are to be at the expense of the customer if exchanged via post or courier.
If goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act but proof of purchase is required. Faulty goods must be reported to us immediately and returned to us as soon as possible. Freight charges will not be borne by you if you are located within Australia. If you are located outside Australia and you wish to return faulty goods to us (for repair or otherwise), then, to the fullest extent permitted by law, you will be responsible for the freight and handling charges associated with: (a) returning the goods to us; and (b) delivering any repaired or replacement goods back to you. We will advise you of the freight and handling costs associated with returning repaired or replacement goods to us in such circumstances and the repaired or replacement goods will not be sent to you until you have confirmed that you will pay the freight and handling costs.
Subject to the provisions of this clause, to the extent permitted by law:
• All warranties, representations and guarantees (whether express, implied or statutory) are excluded;
• We will not be liable for any indirect losses or consequential damages of any kind suffered or incurred by you; and
• We limit our liability to the replacement, or replacement cost and the delivery cost, of the relevant goods at our option.
If you are not acquiring goods or services from us for business purposes, you may have rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Guarantees Act in which case the above exclusions and limitations (and any other provisions in these terms of trade which limit or exclude the rights and remedies available to you) will not apply to the extent these are inconsistent with your rights and remedies under that Act. If you are acquiring goods or services from us for business purposes, the Australian Consumer Guarantees Act will not apply.
These terms of trade are governed by and interpreted according to the laws of Australia.
